Nestled in the east of Jogjakarta city in the proximity to some major campuses, the Barsa City mixed-use development is envisaged to be a new centre for live, learn, work and shop. Developed on a 1.4ha site, the project consists of apartment, lifestyle retail, boutique hotel and shophouses with co-working space and youth centre on a total of 39,697m2 GFA. Due to the height limit, the project only has 8 floors yielding a 2.8 plot ratio (KLB).
The development shall be constructed in 2 phases, Phase 1 consists of the apartment and shophouses and Phase 2 the lifestyle retail and boutique hotel. Apartment facilities such as gym and swimming pool will be located on top of the podium.
The pedestrian corridor stretching from north to south is one of the design’s key features, stitching all components of the development and encouraging walkable community. There are also plaza and open spaces to hold events and activities, acting as development nodes.
